In a now removed Instagram video, Mrs. Gomez, whose father is Mexican, described the arrests of illegal immigrants as an attack on “all my people”.
‘All my people are attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I will try everything, I promise, “she said, placed in tears in the video on January 27.
The caption on her video was: “I’m sorry” and has recorded a Mexican Vlagemoji. However, she removed the clip after return.

Alexis Nungaray, whose 12-year-old daughter Jocelyn was killed last year, said it was “hard to believe” “Mrs. Gomez in the video as” she is an actress “.
“It’s hard to see that video, it’s hard to believe that it’s really real and real because she’s an actress. My daughter was a child. There are many other children whose life was taken because of people who cross illegally here, “She said.
Patty Morin, whose daughter Rachel was reportedly killed in 2023, said that Mrs. Gomez’s video “was only a list of misleading people and getting sympathy for lawlessness”.
The three women also thanked Donald Trump for action against illegal immigration within a few days after his appointment on January 20 and said he “makes things happen”.
“President Trump really takes care of the American people and the American family,” said Mrs. Morin, promising him to stay “America safer again”.
X Users Slam White House Slam for Selena Gomez Video
However, the White House was beaten for the video, with various X users who said it was “anger of” Selena Gomez.
“This is disgusting – the WH -Official account is shamed and furious on an individual American. Forget politics here – if you think it’s good for the WH to attack a citizen like this, you are for A coarse awakening when the dictator comes to you, “said a user.
“This is so coarse inappropriate and weird to put a target on Selena back by using the White House to attack a private citizen personally. I hope she complains,” wrote another.
Many users also said that the video of the White House was “very inappropriate and unprofessional”.
Earlier this week, Tom Homan, Trump’s Border Tsar, also responded to the video of Selena Gomez and rejected the criticism of raids performed by immigration and customs enforcement (ICE).
“I don’t think we have arrested families. We have arrested the threats of public safety and threats of national security,” he said.
“No apologies. We are going to make our communities safer,” concluded Mr. Homan, with reference to the possible reduction of dead by Fentanyl, “illegal alien” crimes and human trafficking as the results of stricter border enforcement.
