RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal details about the illness Tiger King star’s conditions in his prison cell – including rats and an outbreak of scabies.
In an exclusive interview, Joe revealed details about his terrifying diagnosis and how fellow inmates have been ‘covered in sores’ for months.
The Netflix star said: “[The jail’s] Instead of giving us medication or something to relieve the itching and pain, they locked 300 of us in a building with no medication or nothing until next Tuesday. Now the 140 who have it just give it to the other 150 who don’t have it.”
Joe, 61, said he was covered in more than 200 wounds.
In addition to dealing with scabies, Joe has also been dealing with an ongoing rat problem in his cell at federal prison.
He revealed that he caught 11 rats in four days using glue boards placed under his bed.
Despite having mange and rats, Joe’s advantage is that he is “good with the prisoners.”
Joe said, “I get along with everyone. Some guards hate me because I’m famous. So they hate me, but as far as my safety is concerned, I am safe. I get along with everyone.’
In a previous exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Joe revealed details about his ongoing battle with cancer.
In 2021, Joe was diagnosed with prostate cancer and revealed he was told it was “in remission.”
However, he received tragic news about a possible diagnosis of lung cancer.
As Joe awaits his biopsy, he claimed that the cancer diagnosis was “early” due to the “stress” of being in solitary confinement, as well as the living conditions in his prison cell.
After being asked if he feels that “he is dyingJoe said in the interview, “You wouldn’t believe how many people die here before they get care.”
If the biopsy confirms he has cancer, Joe claimed in the interview that he will not receive treatment.
The Tiger King star is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence after doing so convicted of murder-for-hire plot from a rival zookeeper Carole Baskin twice.
In March 2020, Netflix audiences were introduced to Joe in the hit docuseries Tiger King.
