Apple and Google recovered on Thursday evening to their respective app stores in the US on Thursday, a few weeks after they had removed the short video platform after a national security law that forbade it in the country.

The companies have also removed other apps that are owned by the parent company bytedance of Tiktok – Video -edor Capcut and social media app Lemon8 – and also recovered on Thursday.

Former US President Joe Biden had passed the law last year and called on Bytedance to sell Tiktok to a company that was not owned by a Chinese entity by January 19. The law was encouraged by concern that the ties of the company with Beijing endangered national security, and would have imposed serious financial fines on App Store operators if they did not take themselves. The Supreme Court had confirmed the law on January 17.

But immediately after he recorded his office, the current US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 20, aimed at postponing the law and gave an extension of 75 days to Bytedance to find a seller.

Tiktok immediately recovered the services in the country, but Apple and Google kept the app out of their stores, because there was some confusion about the penalties that would be imposed because the law had been postponed alone.

For users in the US, those who did not delete Tiktok could not have been able to reinstall it, but those who could not have used it. Earlier this month Tiktok insisted on Android -Smartphone users to the app to Sideload.

Since then, Trump has said that he would like the US to own a 50% share in Tiktok via a joint venture with other technology companies. He also honored a sovereign fund that could participate in the interaction of Tiktok.

Last month CNBC reported that The traffic of Tiktok was restored almost 90% from the pre-Ban time According to Cloudflare radar data. However, rival social networks try to bank on this thunderstorm. Both X and Bluesky launched special vertical video tops while Meta announced a video editing -announced that capcut would match.

According to data from analysis company Sensor Tower, Tiktok was The second most decreased app in the country last year, with 52 million downloads.
