Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will speak Monday to the National Association for Business Economists at the organization’s annual conference in Nashville.
The chairman of the central bank gives his assessment of the economy and his policy views.
Following the speech, Powell will speak in a moderated conversation with Ellen Zentner, global head of thematic and macro investing at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
The speech comes less than two weeks after the rate-setting Federal Open Market Committee approved a half-percentage point cut in key interest rates, the first rate cut in more than four years. Markets expect the Fed to make further cuts this year and into 2025, depending on how economic data evolve.
