Juventus’ Americans, Weston McKennie and Tim Weah, arrived ready to play against Parma on Wednesday. Both found the back of the net to continue their impressive form in a goal-packed match.
McKennie managed to score the equalizer for Juventus and he was assisted by none other than Weah for the all-American tie-in. It was McKennie’s first Serie A goal of the season, along with one more in the Champions League against PSV. Weah would also score an own goal in the second half.
After it was not known whether McKennie would be part of new manager Thiago Motta’s lineup at Juventus, he responded with two goals and two assists in all competitions while becoming one of the first names on the team sheet in the center of the park .

It was a great cross from Weah’s wing and all McKennie had to do was ensure the power went into the back of Zion Suzuki’s net. With his header, McKennie was able to do just that. He has always been a threat in the air and made things happen on the ground, but the power on the cross meant he didn’t even have to jump to lead him past Suzuki.
Immediately after the break, Weah was able to level Juventus again with an own goal. With the help of Chico Conceicao, he managed to score his third goal of the season after scoring and sustaining an injury in Juventus’ opening match of the campaign.

Motta will still want more from the duo in the future, but they performed consistently early on. With Concacaf Nations League matches approaching, US coach Mauricio Pochettino will also take note of these performances, aiming to play against those who are in their best form.
