Real Madrid waited patiently for the summer international tournaments to end before officially introducing Kylian Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. More than 80,000 people are expected to attend Mbappé’s unveiling on Tuesday. It will be a grand show with fireworks and a 360 degree view of his walk to the stage.
It was a long-awaited move for the 26-year-old to join Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer and chairman Florentine Perez will lead the ceremony to usher in the next generation of Galacticos led by the Frenchman. This would be a bigger reveal then Cristiano Ronaldo’s in 2009, which attracted 75,000 fans.
Mbappe will wear the number nine for Madrid after signing as a free agent in early June. Looking at the unfolding of the unveiling, there will be a large walkway where Mbappé will come down, similar to a concert hall, including fireworks.
Joining a club he has admired since childhood will be quite the moment for Mbappe, who arrives with a good goal-scoring history from Paris Saint-Germain. With 175 league goals since 2017/18, Mbappe is second only to Robert Lewandoski in terms of goals scored in that period.

During pre-season, Real Madrid will head to the United States on July 28 for a tour where they will take on Milan, Barcelona And Chelsea. Due to his participation in the European Championship, Mbappé is not expected to be involved in those friendlies. Instead, he will join Los Blancos when they return to Spain on August 6. Real Madrid’s first LaLiga match is not until August 18 in Mallorca.
