Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Veteran Pacer Jaydev Unadkat is not part of the Playing XI for the Indian Premier League (IPL) setup against the Luckknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday 19 May. The Orange Army has already been eliminated from the Playoffs Race after their washed-outlash at home against the Tournament’s (DC) delay.
Jaydev Unadkat was a handy addition to the SRH PACE battery, which mainly played alongside Harshal Patel and Mohammad Shami. The Left-Arm Pacer ended his 2024 campaign not well after having gone Wicketless in his last four games. But in the 2025 season he chose seven wickets in five games, including a brilliant enchantment of 1-13 in the previous SRH match.
SRH skipper Pat Cummins confirmed during the throw that UNADKAT misses for personal reasons.
“I think we have not played for our potential, it is about touching our potential. Give a number of new boys opportunities. Of course the team is great and to be honest, we are not completely fired. Travis and Jaydev Unadkat Mist,” Cummins said after they first chose to bowl.
The versatility and experience of Unadkat had come in handy for the SRH bowling unit, which demonstrably did not compile a complete performance in the season.
Who replaces Jaydev Unadkat in the SRH that XI plays for the IPL 2025 collision against LSG?
SRH had to income the road with a forced change, since Travis Head still has to be with the team after the COVID-19 contract during the break of a week. Indian Batter Atharva Taide replaces him in the batting order and makes his franchised debut after playing a number of handy beats for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the past seasons.
With regard to the absence of Unadkat, SRH has filled the gap in the bowling department by giving a debut to the domestic teammate of Taide, Harsh Dubey. The left arm spinner, who picked up 69 Wickets in the Ranji trophy of 2024-25, recently came in as an injury replacement for Smaran RaviCandran.
