Apple’s Vision Pro was supposed to be the future of portable technology, but it did not live up to the hype. A high price and extensive design makes it more a luxury gadget than a must-have.
Of course, it has great displays and cool tracking functions, but after the excitement has disappeared, most people will eventually go back to the use of their MacBooks or iPads.
That is why the rumors Apple Smart glasses are much more exciting for me. Or, at least, as the report by Mark Gurman about Apple who is currently working on a version of Visionos designed for AR Smart Glasses, materializes in an end product.

Yes, they are probably a few years away, but they would be much more practical. Unlike the Vision Pro, smart glasses can fit better in daily life, giving you real -time info without making a screen on your face.
The battery life is another problem. The battery of the Vision Pro only takes about two hours, while smart glasses could last all day. By the way, who even came up with the idea of permanently keeping a battery on the glasses via a cable in your pocket?
It brings back memories of Before Magsafe, when every accidental pull of the cable made a MacBook fly to the other end of the room.
The Moohan headset project from Samsung can at least release from the original battery and use another USB-C powerbank, but I am still not a fan of this solution.

However, the biggest problem with the Vision Pro is how it is to insulate. It is great to watch films, but does not have enough useful social or work -related functions to seduce people away from their laptops or PCs.
Smart glasses, on the other hand, can show instructions, notifications and useful overlays while UU can connect to the real world. Managing apps on the Vision Pro also feels awkward, while smart glasses can offer a more natural, canned interface.
Apple’s switch to spatial computer use is indeed exciting, but the Vision Pro feels like a step instead of the ultimate goal. On the other hand, smart glasses can be the real breakthrough, since they can be integrated into daily life lightweight, practically and seamlessly.
Maybe we should wait a few years, but Apple’s smart glasses can make a real splash when they arrive.
