On September 29, Roker finally responded to Kotb’s planned departure after taking “some time to process”.
He captioned the Instagram update: “She taught me it’s not about you, it’s about the other person. I’ve known her forever and it’s always been about the other person,”
“From my family, to her mother, siblings and daughters, to our @todayshow family, Hoda has been in her circle. And that’s why she has the courage to do this. I love you. And you’re not going to do that far, sister!”
Smoker’s wife Deborah Robertsshared a separate post on X to praise Kotb’s “bold and thoughtful move.”
In the meantime, Craig Melvin mentioned the former Dateline NBC correspondent “1 of 1”, adding: “Sad news for the Today family. Great news for Hope and Haley.”
