Pakistani captain Mohammad Rizwan was bent by Will O’Rourke in New Zealand from the inside of his bat during the final of the running Pakistan Odi Tri-Series at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday, February 14.

Rizwan, who hit 46 out of 76 deliveries, tried to poke a good delivery outside outside to the region of the cover, but instead got an inner edge on his stumps.

Rizwan seemed ready for a big score, but was discouraged with the way he was rejected. The ball, delivered at 134 km / h, seemed to chase a little back after throwing on this dry -looking yet calm stroke surface in Sindh.

The resignation of Rizwan left Pakistan on 142-4 in 31.5 overs. At the moment, however, the hosts seem to have been recovered moderately and are 210-8 at the end of 46 overs. The kiwis will be happy with their bowling performance so far.

Pakistan entered the final of this tournament by beating South Africa in a virtual semi -final on Wednesday 12 February, with six wickets. Rizwan (122*) and Salman Agha (134) were the heroes for Pakistan in that match.

After the final of this Tri series, Pakistan and New Zealand will prepare for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy from 2025, organized by the former nation and the United Arab Emirates.

These two teams will collide with each other in their first game of the tournament on February 19, less than a week after they do that in the final of the Tri series. That meeting will also take place at the same location – Karachi.

Pakistan and New Zealand are placed next to India and Bangladesh in group A of the eight-country tournament. The collision with high octane between India and Pakistan takes place on February 23 in Dubai.
