Boulder County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a woman was found dead near Jamestown on Saturday.
Officers responded to reports of a missing person in the 200 block of Ridge Road in unincorporated Boulder County on Saturday around 9 p.m., the sheriff’s office said in a news release. During the search, officers found the body of an unidentified 49-year-old woman.
Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death “appear suspicious” and that they spoke to people who knew her.
No information was available Sunday about what made the death suspicious or possible suspects, but sheriff’s officials said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will identify the woman and her cause and manner of death at a later date.
