Marvel Studios officially unveiled its entire 2025 slate of series on Disney+ in a new sizzle reel released Wednesday, including first looks at live-action series “Daredevil: Born Again,” “Ironheart” and “Wonder Man,” and animated series ‘ Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” “Eyes of Wakanda” and “Marvel Zombies.”

“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” airs on January 29; the animated series will add a number of new characters to the story of Peter Parker’s first year as a web-slinger, including Nico Minoru (from the Runaways team) and Amadeus Cho (a new Hulk in the comics).

Marvel previously announced that “Daredevil: Born Again” will debut on March 4, but the teaser finally provides the first robust look at the show, which will continue the events of the “Daredevil” series that ran for three seasons on Netflix from 2015 through 2015. 2018. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin have appeared a few times, including in the Disney+ series ‘Hawkeye’, ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ and ‘Echo’. Also returning: Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (aka the Punisher) and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter (aka Bullseye). The teaser also includes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot of the menacing white-masked villain, Muse.

On June 24, “Ironheart” – which continues the story of genius inventor Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), first introduced in 2022’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” – will finally debut after starting production in June 2022. As the teaser features Riri’s prowess with her super suit, we hear Anthony Ramos as the villain, Parker Robbins (aka the Hood), lay out his morally questionable philosophy: “Anyone who has ever accomplished anything iconic in life has done some questionable things have to do to make it happen. ”

The teaser offered just two tantalizing shots from the animated series “Eyes of Wakanda,” which details the Wakandan War Dogs’ efforts throughout the country’s history to recover vibranium artifacts. The four-episode series premieres on August 6.

“Marvel Zombies” – which sees many of the studio’s most beloved superheroes, including Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel and Clint Barton, become part of an army of the undead – will be Marvel’s first TV-MA animated show. Naturally, the premiere is scheduled for October 2025.

The most notable reveal in the teaser came in the short footage of “Wonder Man,” starring Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (“Watchmen,” “Aquaman”) as Simon Williams. In the comics, the character is a corporate scion who clashes with Stark Industries on his way to becoming the titular superhero, but in the teaser we first meet Abdul-Mateen’s Simon as an actor auditioning for play Wonder Man – setting up the show as a meta-comedy about Hollywood and superhero storytelling. We also get a taste of what happens when Simon encounters Trevor Slattery, Ben Kingsley’s ne’er-do-well actor from “Iron Man 3” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” The show will debut in December 2025.

The studio also announced that the third and final season of “What If…?” – the animated series that explores the multiverse in search of alternate storylines for familiar characters – will debut late this year, on December 22. The show will likely repeat the release pattern for Season 2, when a new episode debuted every day starting in December. January 22, 2023 for the rest of the month.

The expanded slate of TV titles (which leaked online Tuesday) is curious, as Disney CEO Bob Iger has made it clear that he believes Marvel created too many shows for Disney+ in the streamer’s early years. During an earnings call in May, Iger even said that Marvel would reduce its output “to probably about two TV series a year.” Instead, Marvel has committed to releasing nine titles between the three live-action shows, three animated shows and three feature films (“Captain America: Brave New World,” “Thunderbolts*” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”) in 2025, roughly equal to the studio’s pandemic-affected output in 2021.
