The Undertaker dominated the WWE for 30 years. His feuds against the likes of Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and more placed him in the upper echelons of this industry. There’s no denying that the stories about ‘Taker are legendary.

Speaking during a recent episode of What were they thinking? on Backstage passJBL recalled an incredible story about The Undertaker in Iraq. The Hall of Famer said they had their photos taken at Saddam Hussein’s palace during their tour of Baghdad, Iraq:

“I mean, we stayed in Saddam Hussein’s palace. There’s a famous photo of me and Undertaker on Saddam Hussein’s throne. There it is, Palace.’ [09:33 onwards]

Elsewhere on the podcast, JBL revealed that he and The Undertaker were asked by American soldiers to play golf on Saddam Hussein’s porch during WWE’s visit to Iraq in the 2000s:

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues ‘spoiled’ and ‘narcissistic’ HERE.

‘We are in Saddam Hussein’s palace and in Iraq. We rarely, rarely stayed in the Green Zone. We always stayed in the forward operating bases. And so I got Undertaker and I say, do you want to be a part of this? Think, and I don’t know what’s going on, but something is happening. And the soldier had gotten some golf balls from the USO and he brought us to Hussein’s porch and said, would you like to hit some golf balls with them? And I say: you’re right, I will. On one of the best days of my life, we were sitting on Saddam Hussein’s porch hitting golf balls in his lake. [From 25:45 onwards]

Although JBL didn’t reveal who won the golf game, the former WWE Champion apparently had a great time.
