This is evident from court documents obtained by We weeklyKelley, 28, was arrested on Saturday, August 3, in Carroll County, Georgia, on three felony charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper use of motorcycle equipment.
Police records show that Judd’s daughter, 60, and her first husband, Kelley Bow Kelley III – was booked into the Carroll County Jail and spent a day in jail. She was released on a $2,750 bond.
The arrest follows Us confirmed in early April that Kelley had been booked in Alabama after allegedly speeding drivers off the highway.
She was charged with solicitation of prostitution, indecent exposure and obstructing government operations, according to the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office. (Neither Kelley nor Judd discussed the allegations or the alleged incident.)
According to the Daily mailKelley’s prostitution charge was later dismissed. Meanwhile, a charge of indecent exposure, which she admitted, was reduced to lewd conduct. Kelley was fined $200 and suspended for 90 days in jail. She also admitted to obstructing government officials. She was fined $500 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, 30 of which were suspended.
At the time, her court-appointed attorney told the newspaper, “She has no means to pay the fine or bail. If she did, she would have a chance of being released if the money was paid and I petitioned the judge.”
Out of the legal system, Kelley gave birth to her daughter Kaliyah Chanel in March 2022.
Judd gave a glimpse into her bond with her granddaughter during a rare interview We weekly.
“We started singing together,” she said Us in June. “My favorite thing in life is sitting on the porch with her and eating ice cream. She sits in the rocking chair and she [says,] ‘Noni, where are you going? Noni, what are you doing?’ To be with her in those moments [is] where I realized that no amount of money can ever make you that happy. I thought so, but that’s not the case. I was in bed with her before bedtime and she put her nose to mine and I sang to her, and she started singing back… [it’s] heaven on earth.”
Judd added, “The best thing I can tell her is that she is loved unconditionally. I want her to know that her best work is good enough.”
Although Judd has not spoken out publicly about her daughter’s recent legal troubles, she appeared on Fox Nation’s February 2020 The chase! with John Rijk where she told the host, “My daughter is the strongest Judd woman in our ‘restory’.”
Judd and her ex-husband are also parents to son Elijah, 30, who is named after the country singer’s great-great-grandfather.
