Xiaomi finally brings Android 15 to its users with a new update. However, not everyone will be able to enjoy the latest HyperOS features, at least for now.
The rollout, which is currently available globally for the Xiaomi 14 series, comes with an older software version, HyperOS 1.1, instead of the highly anticipated HyperOS 2.0, which is still exclusive to the Chinese market.
This means that non-Chinese users will still have to wait for a full package.

As reported by STechGuide, Xiaomi 14 users outside China are starting to receive the stable Android 15 update.
It includes a range of fixes and improvements, such as a better home screen layout, a smoother Recents menu, and adjustments to the Always-on Display on the lock screen.
However, these optimizations are mostly minor as the update is based on HyperOS 1.1 and not HyperOS 2.0, which remains in beta for Chinese users on the Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro and 14 Ultra.
The update is now available as a public release, with European users getting build OS1.1.4.0.VNCEUXM and global users OS1.1.3.0.VNCMIXM. Users can wait for the over-the-air update or install it manually.

While this Android 15 update brings some useful tweaks to Xiaomi 14 users, it falls short of the richer experience promised by HyperOS 2.0, which is still being tested.
For now, international users will have to wait to see when and if this more advanced version will make its way outside of China.
In the meantime, check out what Samsung’s One UI 7 is expected to offer as another highly popular Android 15 overlay.
