Amazon is terminating its contract with Progyny, a company that sells fertility benefits such as in vitro fertilization and egg freezing to employers, according to a source familiar with the matter.
As of January 1, 2025, Amazon employees will no longer have access to Progyny’s services. Instead, Amazon will use Maven as a provider of fertility benefits, the person said. Amazon al was in a relationship with Maven for virtual ‘family-building care’. The person asked not to be identified because Amazon is still communicating the change to its employees.
On Wednesday Progyny disclosed to investors that an “important customer” had decided to terminate its agreement with the company. Progyny did not name the customer, but said the customer had 670,000 members and represented 13% of Progyny’s revenue in 2023. The company said the customer was responsible for a “smaller percentage” of its profits.
