While Carpenter was on her leg in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Short and sweet tourOn Tuesday, October 8, she opened the show in a white terrycloth bathrobe (and probably not much else). That was until she stunned the audience by revealing a glowing Victoria’s Secret corset underneath. The surprising quick change freaked fans out, but was in keeping with her seemingly endless line of lingerie-inspired stagewear.
Fans went wild as the ‘Espresso’ singer serenaded the crowd, while the 150,000 crystals covering the costume nearly stole the show. Carpenter leaned into her signature sex-kitten appeal by donning a pair of red sequin garters and silver strappy heels.
After the show, fans praised Carpenter’s sultry costume through TikTokas “Red October” is in full swing in Philadelphia. (For the uninitiated, fans celebrate Red October when the Phillies reach the MLB postseason. The team takes on the New York Mets on Wednesday, October 9, as part of the Division Series.)

“For red October knows omg girly 😫,” one fan commented, while another added: “Oh the RED gives 👏.” More got her excited, writing: “The red set is my favorite so far.”
Until now, the corsets Carpenter wore her Short and sweet tour feature shades of pink, white and butter yellow, making this a clear departure for the singer, who recently silenced critics who thought her look at sexy.
“You’re still going to have the occasional mother who has strong opinions about how you should dress,” Carpenter said TIME in a profile earlier this month. “And to that I just say, ‘Don’t come to the show,’ and that’s OK.”
With Halloween just around the corner, Sabrina’s red corset would be a perfect costume for anyone looking to channel the singer’s sexy style both on and off stage. (Bonus points if the costume includes an espresso martini.)
