Kelsey Anderson is completely involved in her father’s idea, Mark Andersonhanding out the roses The golden bachelor.
“If that’s what he wants to do, I would fully support him,” Kelsey, 26, said exclusively We weekly while promoting her partnership with F- Cancer and Little Words Project. “I think my father has grown tremendously through this journey The Golden Bachelorette. So yes, I would be 100 percent excited for him and supporting him.”
Bachelor Nation fans watched as Mark, 57, vied for the affection of Joan Vassos on The Golden Bachelorette season 1. After getting a one-on-one date, Mark was sent home by Joan, 61, before the show’s hometown episode. Kelsey noted that Joan had “stronger bonds” with her other contestants.
“I think he’s grown a lot from it and I’m just really proud of him,” Kelsey said. “I am also very grateful to Joan for helping my father through all of this.”
Kelsey said that during his trip, Mark befriended Joan’s 21 other suitors, some of whom had similar stories about their families. (Kelsey’s mother, Denisedied in 2018 after a battle with breast cancer.)
‘I know he was quite sad after he left because he really appreciated Joan and really cared about her. So I think he had a hard time leaving,” Kelsey said. “But I think he’s really appreciated his experience through all of this and he’s had the best time. He said, “I’ve made 21 best friends.” He had the best time and I think it also helped him a lot to grow with his grief.”
Although things didn’t work out between Joan and Mark, Kelsey said she had a “great time” watching her dad on TV – other than the fact that they were cutting each other off.
“I didn’t want him to kiss anyone,” Kelsey said Us with a smile. “It’s funny, but I mean, I’m sure he had the same experience when he looked at me The bachelor. So it’s all fair.”
For Kelsey, there is a participant in the works Joey Graziadeiseason 28 of The bachelor who got engaged to the 29-year-old tennis pro during the season finale, it was “really cool” to share a similar dating experience with her father.
“Joey and my dad talked about it for a while, just like the relationships you build,” she said. “It’s cute for us all to have something different to bond over.”
Graziadei, 29, is also on board and Mark will be the next lead in the spin-off series. “Time will tell,” Graziadei said Access to Hollywood on Tuesday, October 22, after his Dancing with the stars performance during an interview with partner Jenna Johnson. “He deserves nothing but the best. So I’ll continue to support him and as the next chapter takes him The golden bachelorwe will both root together with Kelsey and everyone else in the world.”
While Kelsey continues to support Graziadei during his time DWTS season 33 she raises awareness for breast cancer by collaborating with F – Cancer and Little Words Project. During a special pop-up event at the Bleecker Street location in Soho, New York, attendees can make beads and purchase bracelets with Kelsey while raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Anderson also designed a bracelet, which will be available from October 23 to 25.
“With the show, I got so many messages from people that related to my story,” Anderson said Us. “It’s something I wish no one had anything to do with. But I also think people find comfort in hearing stories similar to theirs and seeing that someone can find light in them. My mother was someone who was very positive and always found light in every situation, even when she was going through all those chemotherapy and radiation treatments and she was very sick.
Anderson said: “It breaks [her] heart a little” knowing that there are “a lot of people” who resonate with her story. “It’s fun to think of ways I can help other people,” she said, “even if it’s something like a bracelet.”
