England vs. Ireland live stream, lineups: UEFA Nations League odds, prediction, where to watch, picks

It is the last competitive match for England before Thomas Tuchel takes over in January 2025, as they close out the UEFA Nations League group stages against Ireland. Despite signing an 18-month contract as the Three Lions’ next coach in October, Tuchel opted to wait until 2025 to take over, allowing interim manager Lee Carsley to lead England for one final international break.

The Three Lions have returned to the top of Group 2 thanks to Ireland’s victory over Greece in their last match, but with England leading only on goal difference, the final day could see some fireworks if things go wrong at home.

Here are our storylines, how to watch the match and more:

How to watch and odds

  • Date: Sunday November 17 | Time: 12:00 PM ET

  • Live stream: Fubo (Try for free)
  • Chances: England -475; Sign +500; Ireland +1400

Storylines

England: The biggest question is whether Harry Kane will return to the starting line-up. Ollie Watkins started and scored against Greece but after criticizing England’s withdrawal it would be strange if Kane did not play for the Three Lions. They will want to win the group despite already having progressed to the next stage of the Nations League to secure a more favorable draw.

England predicted XI: Jordan Pickford, Rico Lewis, Marc Guehi, Taylor Hardwood-Bellis, Lewis Hall, Conor Gallagher, Curtis Jones, Jarrod Bowen, Jude Bellingham, Morgan Rodgers, Harry Kane

Ireland: Playing England is always an interesting proposition due to the players who can represent both countries, but after beating group leaders Greece, Ireland will be confident they can beat the Three Lions. England were sensitive in the international game, but defensive strength will be key to securing a result.

Ireland predicted XI: Caoimhin Kelleher, Callum O’Dowda, Liam Scales, Nathan Collins, Matt Doherty, Michael Johnston, Jayson Molumby, Josh Cullen, Kasey McAteer, Evan Ferguson, Troy Parrott

Prediction

It will be another win for the Three Lions, but that will be just enough to top the group as the Carsley era comes to a strong end before Tuchel takes charge. Choose: England 2, Ireland 0
