A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and vehicular assault after he allegedly crashed into two women outside a bowling alley in Walden, killing one and seriously injuring the other.
Steamboat Springs resident Carver Davis was named in the arrest warrant for the Sept. 21 crash that killed Borrero Azucena Del Pilar and seriously injured Molly Smith, both 18 years old, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Investigators allege Davis was driving his Chevy Silverado south on Main Street near Colorado 125 when he failed to negotiate a sharp turn, drove into the parking lot of The 10th Frame and struck the two women. The women were standing outside a vehicle, according to the State Patrol.
Davis remained at the scene, is cooperating with law enforcement and turned himself in at the Routt County Jail on Monday, agency officials said Thursday.
