New non -poetry documents reveal more details about the evidence of public prosecutors in 9/11 attacks

By Ellen Knickmeyer

Washington (AP) – New non -closed documents give one of the most detailed views so far of the evidence that has been collected on the 9/11 Mastermind accused Khalid Sheikh MohammedIncluding how public prosecutors claim that he and others deal with the hijackers who have carried out the attacks of 11 September 2001.

The summaries of evidence released on Thursday include Mohammed’s own statements over the years, telephone records and other documents that claim that the coordination between Mohammed and the hijackers, videos included in the planning of Al-Qaida for the attacks and prosecutors of the government simulations of the flights of the four airliners that day. But few other details were given.

Also to be presented are the photos and death certificates of 2,976 people who were killed that day in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in a field in Pennsylvania, where the fourth passenger plane led by the al-Qaida hijackers hit the ground after a rebellion of Passengers.

The newly revealed framework of the potential case of military prosecutors against Mohammed, who, according to the public prosecutor, say that he has devised and implemented much of the attack of Al-Qaida, has been included in a pleid agreement that the Ministry of Defense in the Court fights to roll back.

Mohammed and two co -suspects have agreed in the plea with military prosecutors to argue guilty in the attack in exchange for lifelong penalties.

The Associated Press, The New York Times, NPR, The Washington Post, Fox News, NBC and Univision sues the plea. The summaries of the prosecutor were released on Thursday in a partially edited version of the Mohammed agreement.

The summaries of the evidence indicate the possibility of extra revelations about the yet to be attacked.

As part of the Pleidooi agreement, the approval of public prosecutors, defense and the higher Pentagon officer who supervise the affairs in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in with an unusual step – a hearing that would enable them to proof the proof against the three public.

It seems designed to tackle complaints from families and others that a plea would generally prevent the evidence from being completely revealed.

Another unusual part of the deal obliges Mohammed to agree to answer questions from the families of victims.

Justice military officers, defense lawyers and civil servants of Guantanamo negotiated the deal for two years under the auspices of the government. The negotiations were an attempt to bring a resolution in the 9/11 case, which has remained in pretial hearings since the attacks for more than two decades.

The then Minister of Defense Lloyd Austin intervened to try to make the plea agreement too invalid after it was announced, and said that the possibility of the death penalty in such a grave was a decision that Minister of Defense should handle.

The hearings of the federal court in the attempts of the Ministry of Defense to reverse the plea agreements are underway.

Legal arguments about the question of whether the persistent torture that Mohammed and other defendants of 9/11 underwent in CIA guardianship did not declare their statements in the case -inadmissible and delayed the case. So repeated personnel changes to the Guantanamo -Hof and the logistics difficulties to hold a trial in a courtroom have an airplane flight away from the US
