'Prison Break' Reboot Pilot Casts Emily Browning, Lukas Gage

The reboot pilot “Prison Break” near Hulu has added three series of regulars, Variety has learned.

Emily Browning, Lukas Gage and Drake Rodger are all cast in leading roles in the pilot, which was originally announced in December. As mentioned earlier, the pilot is set in the same world as the original “prison interruption”, but will tell a new story with new characters. Exact plot details are locked up.

Browning Stars as Cassidy Collins, described as “an ex-soldier became Correction Officer at one of the deadliest prisons in America.” Gage will play Jackson in the pilot, reportedly “a politician from a well -to -do background in his first conference campaign.” And Rodger will play Tommy, “a prisoner at one of the deadliest prisons in America, locked up ten years ago.”

Browning recently played in shows such as “class of ’07” at FX, “The Affair” on Showtime and “American Gods” at Starz. The movie ‘One More Shot’, in which she stars, recently premiered at SXSW. Her other film roles are ‘Legend’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Sucker Punch’ and ‘Shangri-La Suite’.

She is being reputed by UTA, CP Artist Management, Signpost and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Gage has been eliminated in recent years with roles in the HBO shows “The White Lotus” and “Euphory”, while also playing in season 4 “You”, “Dead Boy Detectives” and “Fargo” season 5. In film he is known for “companion”, “How to blow a smile 2” and “and”.

He is being reputed by WME, Luber Roklin Entertainment and Goodman Genow.

Rodger recently played in the “SuperNatural” Prequel series “The Winchesters” at the CW and appeared in several episodes of the hit Paramount+ series “Landman”. He has also been in films such as ‘Murder RX’, ‘Not only’ and ‘Mantra’.

He is being reputed by Gersh and Impact Artists Group.

Elgin James writes and produces the reboot pilot, with Dawn Olmstead, “Prison Break” maker Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz also produce executive. 20th television, which produced the original series, is the studio.
