Dori Media's 'Power Couple' launches and renews new seasons worldwide

The world can’t seem to get enough of Dori Media’s ‘Power Couple’. The popular unscripted format is expected to first launch in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway and be renewed in Brazil, Germany, India and a host of other territories in 2025.

The relationship series is now available in more than 20 territories worldwide, with more than 60 seasons and more than 900 episodes produced.

“We have always believed that ‘Power Couple’ had all the elements to be a successful global format, but we are really thrilled with the reception this series is now receiving in such a wide range of countries, both large and small ,” said Nadav Palti, CEO and President of Dori Media Group.

“The format, which is available in both celebrity and non-celebrity editions, is resonating with local viewers, celebrity or not, and the appetite for more episodes of ‘Power Couple’ has become almost insatiable in many areas,” he noted. .

In this high-stakes reality game created by Abot Hameiri, couples put their love, trust and teamwork to the test for a chance to win big. Eight couples, one villa and six weeks of challenges await as they compete to see if their relationship can turn trust into money. The amount of the main prize depends entirely on how strong their bond is.

According to Dori Media, “Power Couple” will return in May for its seventh season in Brazil on Record TV, seven days a week in primetime. The season will also be simulcast on a digital platform and available for 24/7 live streaming.

A second season of “Power Couple” is in development in India by Aarambh Entertainment. Meanwhile, in Germany, a new local version of the format, titled “Das Sommerhaus der Normalos,” will debut on RTL+ in the first quarter of the year. This follows the success of RTL’s celebrity edition, “Das Sommerhaus der Stars”, which was broadcast for nine seasons.

In addition, “Power Couple” will launch its ninth season in Hungary on RTL this summer, its sixth season in Bulgaria on NOVA TV and its fifth season in Croatia on RTL. In Slovenia, the show has been renewed for a third season on POP TV after a successful second season, which captured a 32% market share in twenty episodes at 7 p.m.

“Power Couple” quickly became a breakthrough hit on Videoland in the Netherlands last year and was broadcast as a celebrity edition in the first season. In Romania, the second season of the series on Antena has just been broadcast in 24 episodes.

At last year’s Mipcom, Dori Media presented a wide range of new unscripted programs, including the innovative dating series ‘Spy Date’ and ‘Love at Third Sight’, which explore unexpected romantic sparks in later life. Other highlights included the trivia-based game show ‘Smart Face’, the talent show ‘Da Next’, the street game ‘Intuition’, the reality competition ‘Stand-Up Warrior’ and the energetic shiny floor show ‘The Best’. of all.”
