As RadarOnline.com reported, Judge Andrew L. Carter denied Diddy’s bail on September 18, deeming him a danger and a flight risk. He must remain behind bars until his trial on human trafficking and extortion charges.
Prosecutors alleged that Combs interfered in the legal proceedings by contacting witnesses and offering compensation for their support, raising concerns about further obstruction.
Despite Diddy’s defense team offering strict security measures, including 24-hour surveillance of his home, Judge Carter found the bail package insufficient.
The rapper’s legal team said: “We are disappointed with the decision to proceed with what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the United States Attorney’s Office.
“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the past thirty years building an empire, adores his children and working to uplift the Black community.”
