Elon Musk is apparently not impressed with Dana Carvey’s impression of him on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
“Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey,” Musk wrote on last night’s cold openin which Carvey wore Musk’s “dark MAGA” hat and jumped up and down and sang, “USA!” USA!”

Musk, who hosted “SNL” in May 2021, didn’t stop there, writing: “SNL has been slowly dying for years as they become increasingly out of touch with reality. Their last-ditch effort to bypass equal airtime requirements and support Kamala before the election has only sunk her campaign further.” (Musk points to the FCC’s equal time requirement that gave Trump an ad spot as a saving grace for Kamala Harris’ surprise cameo on “SNL” before the election.)
Carvey, who spent the first five episodes of ‘SNL’ season 50 playing President Joe Biden, appeared in the post-election ‘SNL’ episode as Musk. As the cast of “SNL” offered sarcastic praise for newly elected President Donald Trump — hoping they would stay off his list of enemies — Carvey took the stage wearing Musk’s signature black-on-black wardrobe and MAGA hat.
He jumped up and down and did some crazy dance moves before saying in an exaggerated South African accent, “Look: dark MAGA. Yes! But seriously, I run the country now. America will be like one of my rockets. They’re super cool and super fun, but there’s a small chance they’ll explode and everyone will die. Haha!”
Carvey then threw his hands in the air and exclaimed, “See you at the White House!” before imitating Musk’s “USA” chant, which he delivered at one of Trump’s pre-election rallies.
