Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-California) couldn’t help but laugh Sunday at former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley for her thank-you note to newly elected President Donald Trump, who announced she would not be part of his next administration.
“LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL…,” Swalwell wrote in an X-post that went on for another twelve lines.
Trump took to his Truth Social platform On Saturday, he said he “really enjoyed and appreciated” working before working with Haley and Mike Pompeo — both of whom served under Trump, the latter as his secretary of state. Yet he will not invite them to serve with him this time.
Trump also thanked Pompeo and Haley, whose birth name he mocked whose husband he attacked earlier this year“for their service to our country.”

“I wish him, and all who serve him, continued success as we move forward toward a stronger, more secure America over the next four years.” she wrote.
Pompeo, in a message to X on Sundayalso wrote that he was “proud” to have worked with the president-elect.
“As you said, when we were together last week, you and I created the plan that made the world safer and did not lead to new wars,” Pompeo wrote, who was considered a contender Becoming Trump’s Secretary of Defense.

“America has firmly rejected the foreign policy agenda of Biden and Harris. We have an obligation to put America first again.”
Trump’s announcement came just one day after his ally Roger Stone targeted Haley and Pompeo — both of whom have supported U.S. aid to Ukraine — on his website.
“Several neoconservatives have positioned themselves to take on highly influential roles within the second Trump administration, and this sinister fifth column has the potential to be more damaging to Trump’s America First agenda than his left-wing views within the Democratic Party,” Stone wrote.
He later continued: “Pompeo and Haley will far from be the only two infiltrators trying to claw their way back into Trump’s good graces and undermine his America First agenda in government for their own ends, but they are the three most egregious examples. of the type of person who should be excluded from the administration.”
