ESPN’s Dick Vitale received a standing ovation in Clemson’s Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday evening in his first game as a commentator since he recovered from his fourth match with cancer.
About 30 minutes before Clemson was confronted with Duke, a vital greeted by a crowd of the crowd when he arrived from a tunnel on the floor and started to find his Courtide chair to call the game. Vitale had not called ESPN in two years.
In the past four years he has fought against four types of cancer, including voice voltage cancer.

Vital was operated on in the summer to remove cancer -like lymph nodes from its neck. He was previously treated for melanoma and lymphoma and had radiation treatments for voting cancer last year.
