Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hailed the strengthening of ties between India and Germany and cited recent collaborations as evidence of their deepening friendship.

Speaking at the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2024, Prime Minister Modi said, “On one hand, the CEO Forum meeting is being held here, on the other hand, our navies are practicing together.

German naval ships make a port in Goa. And the seventh intergovernmental consultation between India and Germany will also be organized in a short time.

“That is to say, the friendship between India and Germany is deepening at every step and on every front,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi said that this year marks the completion of 25 years of strategic partnership between India and Germany and added that the next 25 years will take this partnership to new heights.

Prime Minister Modi welcomed the release of the German Cabinet’s ‘Focus on India’ document, which outlines how two strong democracies and leading economies can work together for global well-being.

“I am pleased that the German Cabinet has released the Focus on India document at such a crucial time. The Focus on India document is a blueprint of how the world’s two strong democracies, the two leading economies, can together become a force for It clearly reflects the approach and commitment to taking the strategic partnership forward in a holistic manner. The confidence shown by Germany in India’s skilled manpower is particularly astonishing,” he said.

Prime Minister Modi also expressed confidence that Germany’s decision to increase visas for skilled Indians will boost growth.

“Germany has decided to increase the number of visas given to skilled Indians every year from 20,000 to 90,000. I am convinced that this will give new impetus to German growth,” he said.

“Our mutual trade has reached a level of more than $30 billion. Today, on one hand, there are hundreds of German companies in India, while Indian companies are also rapidly increasing their presence in Germany. Today, India is becoming the largest center of Diversification and Risk Reduction India is also becoming a hub of global trade and manufacturing.
