While preparing for a new international tour, the band continues to go through overhaul. Last month drummer Frank Ferrer left the band after almost 20 years. He had been the longest serving the group.
In a message of appreciation shared on Instagram, the band members said it was an amicable divorce.
The explanation was: “Guns n ‘Roses announce the amicable exit of Frank Ferrer. The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity and strong presence in the past 19 years, and wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey.”
The statement continued: “Frank came to GNR for the first time during a show in June 2006 and helped to anchor the rhythm section during the following tours, including their recent outings with the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff Mckagan. His last show with the band took place on November 5, 2023 in Mexico.”
Days later, GNR Loudermilk and Gosling’s former drummer, Isaac Carpenter, announced as their new drummer.
