Pattison Food Group Ltd. Calls different buy-low food, nesters market and saves on hummus products from the Foods brand, because they may contain unauthorized peanuts, an allergen that is not mentioned on the label.
The recall was started after testing results from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), which identified the presence of Pinda in the affected products.
People with peanut allergies or sensitivities risk serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these products.
The recalled Hummus was sold in stores in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Yukon.
