Jerry Seinfeld‘ takes a closer look at his children’s former school…he’s getting into the school for giving ‘distressed’ students the day after the election off – basically saying the school is making kids too soft.
The legendary comedian spoke with The New York Times – who received an email from Ethical Culture Fieldston School telling parents about the proposal – stating that he had pulled his son out of school at the time because of stunts like this.
Jerry says his kids didn’t like school because of all the coddling… and Jerry asks, “What kind of lives have these people led that makes them think this is the right way to interact with young people?”
According to NYT, the email says that administrators at the school want to create a safe environment for students… and that they feel the day off will benefit the students.
No homework will be assigned on Wednesday – or any day after the election results are officially announced if counting takes longer than one day – and any excused absences will be overlooked.
The school costs just over $65,000 a year…so no wonder Jerry stands up to Ethical Cultural Fieldston, who is essentially criticizing a school day.
Worth noting…the Seinfelds clearly changed their opinion of the school because of his wife Jessica posted a glowing tribute to the school after their son earlier in 2021 Julian graduated from the school.
Seinfeld says he pulled his son out of school, apparently referring to his 19-year-old Shepherd.

Jerry’s blasted the ‘far left’ in April for taking the fun out of modern showbiz…basically railing against PC culture. He also talks about wanting manly men to return to the world, so he’s clearly not in favor of any kind of coddling at school or otherwise. He did say later he regretted commenting on the “far-left” screwed up comedy, saying, “It’s not true.”
Sources with direct knowledge tell us that despite the high-profile responses, the day is proceeding as planned, which will benefit children’s mental health.
