A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in a fatal early morning shooting in Denver’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, police officials said Monday.
Officers from the Denver Police Department responded to the report shooting in the 1300 block of West Colfax Avenue around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 3 and found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
The man was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.
Investigators believe the man was arguing with Deangelo Luarks when the argument escalated and Luarks shot him, the department said. Luarks is already in custody on an unrelated case and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
