Atchison, Kan. – MGP Ingredients, Inc. Has promoted Michael Buttshaw as president of the business unit of the company of the company. He was recently vice -president of sale for ingredients solutions. In its new role, Buttshaw will supervise the development of the company’s ingredient solution activities.
“Mike’s deep experience in the food lender industry during his career, including more than a decade leadership at MGP, made him an ideal choice for the new position of president, ingredient solutions,” said Brandon Gall, interim president and Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of MGPI. “Under the leadership of Mike we believe that the ingredients solutions activities will achieve new milestones and further strengthen his position as the market leader.”
The company’s ingredients solutions produce special wheat proteins and starch for the commercial baking industry. The lines include fiber and Proterra.
Buttshaw arrived at MGPI at Custom Food Ingredients in December 2014, where he was previously vice -president of sale, adapted food ingredients. He was previously Vice President Sales and Marketing at Penford Food Ingredients.
Buttshaw was also for about 20 years at Hormel Foods with different leadership positions. There he was in areas such as quality assurance, process technology, retail sales and national sales and marketing for the specialty products of the company.
