Atmore, Ala. – Perdido River Meats, a division of Perdido River Farms based in Atmore, ALA., Held a large opening of his $ 29 million meat processing facility on 6 February.
“This big opening is an important milestone for Pedido River Farms and the community,” said John English, director of Perdido River Farms. “We are proud to expand our activities and look forward to sharing our passion for quality, locally produced meat with our neighbors and community.”
The facility specializes in premium meat that comes from local farmers to offer fresh, quality products for the community.
“The opening of this new processing facility will not only help to tackle problems with the food supply chain, but also greatly benefit Alabama, who have expressed the need for extra processing facilities in our area,” said Alabama Agriculture and Industries Commissioner Rick Pate.
Perdido River Meats is exclusively specialized in cattle products. Customers can have their own cattle processed or to buy whole and half cows directly from the facility. The store offers everything, from soup bones to filet mignon.
Perdido River Farms manages 2,900 hectares of tribal agricultural properties, consisting of permanent grasses for grazing, summer and winter -unit, hay countries and row plants in row. As the agricultural arm of the Poarch Creek -Indians, PRF also manages a commercial cow/calf operation and also organizes youth events, such as the Escambia County Youth Livestock Association Steer & Heifer Show and the Alabama South District FFA Fall Eliminations.
