After releasing five new phones in 2024, it’s pretty clear that Google is done for the year. But one of the expected 2025 has already surfaced online.
Leaker ‘fenibook’ has posted two images of what they claim is the upcoming Pixel 9a on X (formerly Twitter).
As you can see, they show the front and back of the phone, with the latter giving a look at the updated camera module. Like its predecessor, the Pixel 8a, the phone has dual cameras on the back and a single selfie camera on the front.
A previous Android Headlines report suggested that the 9a will feature 48MP main and 13MP ultrawide lenses, plus a 13MP selfie camera. The main sensor may sound like a downgrade compared to the 64 MP sensor on the Pixel 8a, but a higher megapixel count doesn’t necessarily mean better photos.
Other rumors claim that the Pixel 9a will be equipped with a Tensor G4 chip and will have 8 GB of RAM. The battery in the phone will likely be 5,000mAh, but will only support 18W wired charging.
