RadarOnline.com may reveal a rising star, according to sources Timothée Chalamet needed to work overtime, do reshoots, to measure up to his impressive performances Bob Dylan biopic co-star Edward Norton.
Timothée plays the iconic musician A complete unknownbut he was apparently upstaged by Norton, who stars as Dylan’s mentor, fellow folk singer Pete Seeger.
“The bottom line is that the reshoots were put together to fix issues with Timothée’s acting, to give more power to his big moments and to fix the issues with his Bob Dylan impersonation,” the insider said.
Although a friend of Chalamet denied it, studio bosses are said to have raised concerns that Norton, 55, was outdoing 28-year-old Timothée’s work during early internal screenings of the film, requiring millions of dollars to be spent to reshoot certain scenes.
“Timmy also wanted the reshoots,” the insider noted. “He wanted a second chance to adjust his performance, hoping this would put him in the running for one Best Actor Oscar.”
But apparently he wasn’t even the best actor in the biopic!
“It drove Timmy up a wall that Ed delivered such a seamless, soulful performance,” the snitch continued. “Otherwise he wouldn’t have participated in the reshot scenes. Doing them threw his schedule into total chaos.”
The Dune heartbreaker, who is linked to make-up mogul Kylie Jenner27, since April, also wanted to make sure he impressed the man he was playing against, sources said.
“What everyone is still waiting for is Bob Dylan’s reaction to the completed project, as that will determine the extent to which he will participate in the film’s publicity and awards campaign,” the insider said.
