Trisha Paytas is ready for a new love in her life, at least on screen – and it’s a superstar Chappell Roan.
“She is the only mainstream celebrity who has really supported my career.” Paytas, 36, told exclusively We weekly while promoting her new one What are you memeing? expansion pack. “She really gave me credibility. She said her dream hype person would be me and [my daughter] Malibu Barbie. She sent me a DM and ‘liked’ my photos.”
Paytas noted that she has appeared in music videos before Eminem And Katya Perrybut she has a specific role in mind if she ever gets to work with Roan, 26.
“I would love to be in a Chappell Roan music video playing the love interest,” the “Just Trish” podcast host shared. Us. “I’ve never been a love interest, so that would be my ultimate dream.”
Until Roan calls, Paytas is busy with her own projects, including her collaboration with What Do You Meme? board game, with the aim of creating hilarious memes.
“I asked all my fans to send me their favorite memes of mine, and it was so funny to see their favorites,” Paytas said. Us. “When I asked the audience, the favorite seemed to be my military one and mine on the kitchen floor.”
While some fans laugh about that moment on the kitchen floor, Paytas explained that the original photo was taken during a dark time in her life.
“I had a literal, untreated mental illness, felt so sad, depressed and constantly felt lost,” the “Pink Christmas” singer recalled. “I thought people wanted to see a train wreck and the only way I could get attention was the negative route, but now that the story has a happy ending I can look back on that time and laugh and even sell merchandise and happily make some money in a difficult time for me.”
Now Paytas says she is in the happiest time of her life. She became a mother of two in May with the arrival of her second daughter, Elvis. (Her first daughter, Malibu Barbie, was born in September 2022.)
“I really like where I am right now,” Paytas said. “I don’t think about diets. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been, but also the happiest I’ve ever been. The moment I could stop caring for my body was the moment I could thrive. My skin cleared up, I was able to get pregnant. I have never felt so happy; that sad story had a happy ending.”
