Two injured in house fire in Denver's Berkeley neighborhood

Two people were taken to hospital after a kitchen The fire spread to the attic of a home in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood according to fire officials Friday afternoon.

The Denver Fire Department responded to a single-family home near West 44th Avenue and Winona Court around 1:25 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the home, agency officials said in a post on X.

The hoarding conditions made it difficult for the 48 firefighters who responded to the blaze, the agency said on X. The fire was under control as of 3:09 p.m.
