Uber has started driving his teenage -oriented Uber for teenage service in India, JS has learned exclusively.

Uber for teenagers is live in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Mumbai, confirmed to Techcrunch. The company said it would expand the service to 35 cities in the coming weeks, including Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

With the service, parents and guardians can set up accounts for their teenagers (between the ages of 13 and 17), so that they can request travel directly with the help of their own devices. It also contains functions such as live trip tracking and opt-in audio recording.

Guardians can also book journeys for teenagers, and they can also set monthly travel limits to limit the number of trips. Uber requires Guardians in India to add a credit card or debit card to their account to invite a teenager for their family profile. Once added, guardians and teenagers can book journeys using any payment method, including cash.

Uber said it will also perform extra background checks on drivers.

The move comes almost two years after the service was launched in the US and Canada, because the Ride-Hailing app is planning to grow in India and to adopt domestic rivals Ola, Rapido, Namma Yatri and BlusMart.
