Gabby Thomas had an incredible year in 2024 and won three Olympic gold medals. Now that she is preparing for the new season, the American made a surprising revelation while she discussed the locations of Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam track.
Johnson, huge as one of the greatest sprinters of all time, launched GST last year, a one-of-ITS-Kind Track League. The competition will contain four encounters, with the first competition that takes place in Kingston, Jamaica, followed by encounters in Los Angeles, Miami and Philadelphia.
Gabby Thomas signed with Grand Slam Track at the end of last year and recently arranged the locations of the competition. In an Instagram video she revealed that she was most enthusiastic to compete in Jamaica, after she had never raced there before.
“I am the most excited for Kingston. I’m really excited. I have never participated in Jamaica before. “
She then rank the remaining three locations and said:
“(Second) Miami, because I love Miami. (Then) Philly, because I love Franklin Field, it’s close by and my heart for me, it’s where I ran at university, and then we have La. La is cool. “

Gabby Thomas signed in November 2024 with Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam track. The American made her excitement clear for the competition through a press release and emphasized her enthusiasm to compete against the best sprinters.
“I am so excited to become a member of Grand Slam Track and to work with Michael Johnson to give our sport the platform it deserves. From the Olympic Games, I want to keep testing myself and competing at the highest level against the fastest women in the world. Grand Slam Track gives us that opportunity in 2025. “
Thomas continued to praise Johnson’s vision and said:
“Michael’s vision is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to give the millions of track fans around the world even more opportunities to see us competing. I look forward to seeing all our fans on the four slams next year. “
Thomas is likely to participate in the Short Sprints Event Group at the GST, which will contain the 100m and 200 m races. Outside Gabby Thomas are other stars that have signed with Grand Slam Track, Sydney McLaughlin-Levone, Fred Kerley, Kenny Bednarek, Cole Hocker and more.
The first meeting of Grand Slam Track will take place between 4-6 April in the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. The event is streamed live on Peacock, with a broadcast available on the CW.
