A glitch in Frontier Airlines’ computer system led to delayed and canceled flights at Denver International Airport on Thursday evening.
Frontier systems were affected by a Microsoft outage, including booking, check-in, boarding pass access and some flights. the company said in a post on X.
Frontier canceled 27 flights at DIA and delayed another 51 flights as of 8:15 p.m. Thursday, according to FlightAware.
There were a total of 570 flight delays and 36 cancellations, with most of the delays occurring on United and Southwest airlines.
Departing flights from one airline were held at the airport until at least 10 p.m. upon request, the airline said Federal Aviation Administration. The agency did not specify which airline organized flights.
